Central government clears appointment of new Chief Justices to five High Courts

These recommendations were made by the Supreme Court Collegium headed by Chief Justice of India BR Gavai.

The Central government on Monday cleared the appointment of new Chief Justices (CJs) for the High Courts of Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Gauhati and Patna.

The following judges have been appointed as Chief Justices:

- Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva as the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court.

- Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan as the Chief Justice of Jharkhand High Court.

- Justice Vibhu Bakhru as the Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court.

- Justice Ashutosh Kumar as the Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court.

- Justice Vipul Manubhai Pancholi as the Chief Justice of Patna High Court.

These recommendations were made by the Supreme Court Collegium headed by Chief Justice of India BR Gavai.
