Centre notifies transfer of Justice Vivek Chaudhary from Allahabad to Delhi High Court

In its meeting held on May 26, the Supreme Court Collegium recommended his transfer.

The Central government notified the transfer of Justice Vivek Chaudhary from the Allahabad High Court to the Delhi High Court.

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended his transfer on May 26 pursuant to which the Union government issued the notification today.

Justice Chaudhary graduated in Law from Meerut University in 1988 and enrolled as an advocate on November 12, 1988.

He practiced in civil and constitutional matters before the Allahabad High Court and the Supreme Court of India.

He was appointed as an additional judge of the High Court on February 20, 2017 and took oath as a permanent judge on March 14, 2018.
