Centre clears transfer of Justice Vivek Kumar Singh from Madras to Madhya Pradesh High Court

Justice Singh was transferred from the Allahabad High Court to the Madras High Court in 2023.

The Central government has notified the transfer of Justice Vivek Kumar Singh from the Madras High Court to the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

In its meeting held on May 26, the Supreme Court Collegium recommended his transfer.

Justice Singh was enrolled as an advocate on August 30 of the same year. He began his legal practice at the Allahabad High Court, handling both civil and criminal matters. He was appointed as an additional judge of the High Court on September 22, 2017, and was subsequently confirmed as a permanent judge on September 6, 2019.

He was transferred to the Madras High Court on November 23, 2023.
