Khaitan Legal Associates advised Zerocircle Alternatives Private Limited on securing approximately ₹20 crore in a pre-Series A funding round. 

The round saw participation from prominent climate-focused investors, including Rainmatter by Zerodha, environmental advocate Trudie Styler, 7th Gen Ventures, 1Crowd, and VC Grid. Additionally, it included cash prizes and grants received by Zerocircle.

The firm's transaction team consisted of Shruti Dvivedi Sodhi (Partner), Aditi Chandak (Senior Associate), Vir Aditya Nanda (Associate) and Anshul Singh (Associate).

The proceeds will be used for scaling manufacturing, optimising the supply chain, and expanding the team.

Zero Circle, founded by Neha Jain in 2020, is an organization focused on combating plastic pollution by creating eco-friendly, seaweed-based bioplastics as sustainable alternatives to traditional single-use plastics. Their materials are designed to be biodegradable, aligning with the principles of a circular economy, where waste safely returns to nature. By using abundant and fast-growing seaweed, Zero Circle ensures their production is both environmentally responsible and does not compete with food crops, contributing to a reduced carbon footprint and a cleaner planet
