
Luthra and Luthra Law Offices India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) to advance legal education and professional training in India through the design and delivery of specialized certificate courses.
As a first initiative under this MoU, the firm, in collaboration with the Centre for Law and Urban Development (CLUD) at NLU Delhi, conducted a two-day Certificate Course on ‘Real Estate Project Management and Finance’ on May 3 and May 4, 2025, at the NLU Delhi campus.
The course drew enthusiastic participation from over 70 students, including those from the second to fifth year of the BA.LLB. (Hons.) program, as well as postgraduate LLM students, along with 5-6 participants from various other institutions. The program featured seven interactive sessions, covering a diverse range of topics such as:
- Introduction to Real Estate in India
- Legal Due Diligence in Real Estate
- Key Legislation governing the Sector
- Dispute Resolution and Consumer Protection
- Regulatory Landscape and Investment Aspects
- Taxation and Financial Aspects of Real Estate Projects
The course was inaugurated and concluded by Harry Chawla, Managing Partner at Luthra and Luthra Law Offices India.
He was joined by Partners, Ritu Bhalla, Niti Paul, Sanjeev Sachdeva, Girish Rawat, Maureen Z Ralte, Chandrasekhar G Tampi, Varun Vaish and Akshit Kapoor along with Partner Designate Astha Nigam, Managing Associate Gajanand Kirodiwal and Associate Hargun Singh, who led sessions in their respective areas of expertise.
Dilbag Singh Sihag, Chief Town Planner HR (retired) and Member of RERA Court, Panchkula, was also invited to participate in the event as an External Expert on a Session on Key Legislations governing Real Estate.
