What Supreme Court said on modifying its order regarding marking appearance of lawyers

The Court had last year issued strict directions to advocates-on-record (AoRs) to mark the appearance of only those lawyers who are authorised to appear and argue the concerned case on the particular day.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday said it will pass an order next week on Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA)'s plea seeking modification to an earlier order which mandated that only those lawyers who are authorised to argue a case can mark their appearance in a particular case and not lawyers who simply assist the arguing counsel.
