Senior Advocate Vivek Subba Reddy has been re-elected as the President of the Advocates' Association, Bengaluru (AAB) for the second consecutive term..Reddy won the election by securing a record 6,820 votes, with his closest opponent and former AAB President Ranganath AP securing 4,518 votes. Other candidates in the fray included Rajanna R (1,473 votes), Nanjappa Kalegowda (123 votes), Ravi T G (378 votes) and Rajashekhara TA (90 votes). Girish Kumar CS was elected to the newly created post of Vice President of AAB with 5,060 votes after beating his closest opponent CR Gowda who secured 3,128 votes. Other candidates, Vedamurthy A, Santhosh TC, Suvarna R and Venkata Reddy secured 2,806, 1,542, 421 and 237 votes respectively. .Praveen Gowda HV won the post of AAB's General Secretary with 4,854 votes, beating his rivals Harisha MT (3,728 votes), Shivamurthy (2,321 votes), Akki Manjunath Gowda (2,188 votes) and Chandrashekhar MH (124 votes). Shwetha Ravishankar was elected the Association's treasurer with 2,950 votes after facing stiff competition for the post, which was reserved for women. Her nearest opponent was Geetha Raj who got 1,860. Other candidates who contested for the post included Mamatha KV (1,760 votes), Shailaja K (1,267 votes), Hemalatha V (1,142 votes), Meenakshi K (636 votes), Manjula L (534 votes), Manjula P (500 votes), Sandhya Jamadagni (497 votes), Anitha HR (495 votes), Swapna PK (435 votes), Waheeda MM (357 votes), Manjulamma M (274 votes), Sudha G (253 votes), Sudha S (215 votes) and Rukhiyabi (196 votes).
