Three Kerala High Court judges, Justice Anil K Narendran, Justice G Girish, and Justice PG Ajithkumar and their families escaped the terror attack at Pahalgam on April 22 by a whisker after leaving the place a few hours before the terrorists struck..According to The Hindu, the group left the place a few hours before the terrorists struck in the afternoon of April 22 claiming 28 lives and injuring many others.The judges and their families had arrived in Jammu and Kashmir on April 17 and spent the following days visiting several districts and popular tourist destinations. Their itinerary included a stop in Pahalgam where they stayed on April 21 and visited various local attractions.The judges and their families left Pahalgam around 9:30 AM on April 22 and proceeded to Srinagar, which is about 90 kilometers away.They had reached Srinagar by noon a few hours before the attack took place at Pahalgam later that day..News that the judges were in the region around the time of the attack led to concern in legal circles. However, it was later confirmed that they had already departed Pahalgam and were unharmed.
