Supreme Court pans Allahabad High Court, trial court for letting off honour killing accused with lesser offence

The Supreme Court on Thursday took exception to the Allahabad High Court and trial court allowing the police to press the lesser offence of culpable homicide not amounting to murder against honour killing accused instead of the charging them for murder [Ayyub Ali v. State of Uttar Pradesh].
