Supreme Court orders Partha Chatterjee's release in cash-for-jobs case after recording witness statements

The Court noted that the accused persons have been in jail for nearly three years and said bail will also be granted to Subiresh Bhattacharya and Shantiprasad Sinha.

The Supreme Court on Monday said that former West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee should be released on bail in connection with the CBI's alleged cash-for-jobs case after the trial court records statements of material witnesses.
