Supreme Court calls for panel headed by retired judge to ensure clean environment in Vellore

The Supreme Court on Thursday ordered the Tamil Nadu government to constitute a committee headed by a retired High Court judge for the maintenance of a clean environment in Vellore, which is known as the leather hub of India [Vellore District Environment Monitoring Committee v. State of Tamil Nadu].
