Supreme Court lawyer A Karthik has been appointed Special Public Prosecutor by the Central Bureau of Investigation to conduct its cases related to the Coalgate matter before the Supreme Court..According to a notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Training, he will be handling cases before the Supreme Court and any other appellate and revisional courts in cases arising out of coal block allocation scam. Karthik is a 2009 graduate of National University of Advanced Legal Studies (NUALS) and has been practicing at the Supreme Court since 2011.He became an advocate-on-record at the Supreme Court in 2017.He was also a chamber junior of Senior Counsel R Basant.
