The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has issued a circular directing all its officers, officials and staff members to strictly adhere to the prescribed uniform/ dress code while attending office and performing official duties..The circular was issued by the Registrar General (officiating), MK Sharma, who said that several employees were reporting to work in casual attire, which was causing indiscipline and affecting the smooth functioning of the High Court.."It has been observed that the officers/officials of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh do not wear the prescribed uniform and attend the office/official duties in casual dress which is causing great indiscipline and affects the well functioning of Hon'ble High Court," the circular dated August 12 said..The circular made it clear that it is mandatory for all employees, gazetted and non-gazetted including personal staff attached with registry officers, e-courts, IT section, orderlies, ushers and drivers to wear the designated uniforms meant for their respective categories..It further cautioned that non-compliance will be viewed seriously and may invite disciplinary action.
