She later pursued an LL.M. in Human Rights and Intellectual Property Law from Lund University, Sweden in 2003..Naik has served for several years on the board of the Community Legal Services Ottawa Clinic. She has been actively involved in community-based Indigenous organizations, women’s shelters and grassroots initiatives supporting marginalised communities in Ottawa. Additionally, she has frequently provided pro bono legal assistance to vulnerable clients, including those facing language barriers or seeking legal aid through outreach programs.She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2010.
