The Central government on August 8 cleared the appointment of nine additional judges in the High Courts of Andhra Pradesh, Calcutta, Chhattisgarh and Karnataka as permanent judges of the respective courts..The following judges have been made permanent:.- Justice Harinath Nunepally;- Justice Kiranmayee Mandava @ Kiranmayee Kanaparthy;- Justice Sumathi Jagadam;- Justice Nyapathy Vijay..- Justice Ravindra Kumar Agrawal..- Justice Gurusiddaiah Basavaraja..- Justice Partha Sarathi Sen;- Justice Apurba Sinha Ray..The development was notified by Union Minister of State (independent charge) for Law & Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal in a post on X..The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended all these names on July 28..The Central government also cleared names of following seven additional judges of the Calcutta High Court to be appointed for a fresh term of one year:- Justice Biswaroop Chowdhury;- Justice Prasenjit Biswas;- Justice Uday Kumar;- Justice Ajay Kumar Gupta;- Justice Supratim Bhattacharya;- Justice Partha Sarathi Chatterjee;- Justice Md Shabbar Rashidi.
