Supreme Court seeks Centre, ECI response on Jairam Ramesh plea against Election Rules amendment

The Supreme Court of India on Wednesday issued notice to the Central government and the Election Commission of India (ECI) on a petition moved by Congress leader Jairam Ramesh challenging recent amendments to the Conduct of Election Rules, 1961 by which rights of citizens to access election related records were curtailed.
