The Kerala High Court directed the State government and the State Wetlands Authority to constitute a dedicated Ashtamudi Wetland Management Unit and create a public feedback mechanism for reporting pollution, encroachments and ecological violations affecting the Ramsar-designated Ashtamudi lake.
