The Bombay High Court recently dismissed a petition filed by the mother and wife of a Jain man, seeking the transfer of Reserve Bank of India (RBI) bonds held by him to their names, following his and his children’s renunciation of worldly life and entry into the Jain Sanyas order [Nirmla Zaverchand Dedhia v Union of India].
