Telugu actor Allu Arjun arrested: Live Updates from Telangana High Court

The Telangana High Court is slated to hear a petition filed by Tollywood actor Allu Arjun to quash a criminal case filed against him on allegations that he too was responsible for a stampede that took place at Sandhya Theatre on December 4 during the screening of his new film, Pushpa 2.

The stampede left a woman in her 30s dead, while her son is reportedly still being treated at a hospital for asphyxiation.

Allu Arjun was arrested in the case earlier today. According to reports, he has been charged with the offence of culpable homicide not amounting to murder, among other offences.

The police claim that the Arjun did not inform the authorities beforehand that he was going to attend the movie screening, which led to the stampede.

Justice Juvvadi Sridevi will hear the petition challenging the case against him. The matter is slated to be taken up around 4 PM today.
