Karnataka High Court rejects plea for release of Jayalalithaa's assets seized in DA case

The High Court dismissed the appeal filed by J Deepak and J Deepa after holding that the trial court order that denied relief to the duo had been passed on merits and interference by the High Court was not warranted.

The Karnataka High Court Monday dismissed an appeal filed by the legal heirs of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa seeking release of the property and assets that were seized by authorities in the disproportionate assets case registered against the late AIADMK chief in 2004.
