Go to Attorney General: Supreme Court on request for contempt case against Nishikant Dubey

Following Dubey's comments against CJI, certain lawyers have written to the AG seeking permission to file contempt of court petitions against Dubey under the Contempt of Courts Act.

The Supreme Court on Monday told a lawyer that he would have to seek the Attorney General's permission to file a contempt of court case against Bharatiya Janata Party Member Parliament (MP) Nishikant Dubey for his remarks against the top court and the Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna.
