Senior Advocate Devang Vyas on Wednesday resigned as Additional Solicitor General (ASG) of Gujarat High Court and Bombay High Court..Vyas confirmed the development to Bar and Bench.He said that he was resigning from the post to pursue private practice."I have had really good 12 years as the ASG of Gujarat. This is my 12th year. Initially I was apprehensive about the position but later I got into it," Vyas said.He added that he would continue to reside and base his practice in Bombay.Vyas was appointed ASG for Gujarat High Court twelve years ago. His tenure was extended last in June 2023.Meanwhile, in July 2023, he was given additional charge as ASG for Bombay High Court as well after ex-ASG Anil C Singh's 9-year-long tenure came to an end.
