The Supreme Court Collegium on Wednesday recommended that two judicial officers from J&K be appointed as judges of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court. .The two judicial officers are, 1. Sanjay Parihar 2. Shahzad Azeem.The top court in a statement said that the proposal for elevation of these two judicial officers was approved in a Collegium meeting held today.Azeem is currently serving as the Registrar General of the High Court. Parihar has served on important positions including the post of Principal District and Sessions Judge, Jammu..The High Court is currently functioning with a strength of 13 judges including the Chief Justice.
