The Chhattisgarh High Court has prohibited litigants from bringing mobile phones or electronic devices into the courtrooms. .In a notice published on June 18, the Court said that electronic devices cannot be carried into the courtroom even if they are switched off. The notice also warned people not to record court proceedings. “The Parties / Litigants, who wish to remain present in the Court Rooms during the proceedings of their cases, are hereby strictly directed not to carry Mobile Phones / Electronic Devices (even in the switched-off mode) and are further directed not to record any part of the Court proceedings.
