The Central government on Tuesday cleared the names of two judicial officers as judges of the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court..The two judicial officers elevated to the Bench are:1. Sanjay Parihar2. Shahzad Azeem.The Supreme Court Collegium had on April 16 recommended the appointment of the two. Today, the appointment was confirmed by Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Law & Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal via a post on his official X handle..Azeem is currently serving as the Registrar General of the High Court while Parihar has served as Principal District and Sessions Judge, Jammu.The Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court is currently functioning with 13 judges including the Chief Justice. It has a sanctioned strength of 25 judges.
