The Central government has cleared the appointment of two judicial officers as judges of the Andhra Pradesh High Court..The development was announced by Union Minister of State in charge of Law and Justice, Arjun Ram Meghwal on X (formerly Twitter) today.The judicial officers who have been appointed as High Court judges are:- Avadhanam Hari Haranadha Sarma; and- Dr. Yadavalli Lakshmana Rao..The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended their names for elevation as High Court judges in a meeting held on January 11..The Andhra Pradesh High Court has a sanctioned strength of 37 judges and has been functioning with 28 judges. With the latest appointments, the Court will now have 30 judges leaving 7 posts vacant.
