The Central Government on Friday assigned Benches to 21 of the 24 newly appointed judicial and technical members of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT). .“In accordance with Rule 15A of the National Company Law Tribunal (Salary, Allowances, and Other Terms and Conditions of Service of Members) Rules, 2015, and in consultation with the President, NCLT, the following Judicial and Technical Members of the NCLT are hereby assigned to the Benches,” the notification read. The government also asked them to assume office at the earliest. .The assignment was made after the NCLT Bar Association raised concerns over the delay in posting of the appointed members. It was alleged that the members were yet to be posted on the benches despite having completed their induction program.The Central government had in January notified the appointment of 24 persons as judicial and technical members of NCLT.The 24 appointees will serve a tenure of five years beginning from the date they assume the charge or until they attain the age of sixty-five years..Who will join where?.Judicial Member Assignments:Justice Jyotsna Sharma has been assigned to the New Delhi bench.Sunil Kumar Aggarwal will serve at the Bengaluru bench.Major changes have been made to the Mumbai bench with Nilesh Sharma, Ashish Kalia, Sushil Mahadeorao Kochey and Mohan Prasad Tiwari being assigned to that Bench. Mohan Prasad Tiwari has been assigned to the new Mumbai court.Vinay Goel has been assigned to Kochi bench.Labh Singh will move to Kolkata.Rammurti Kushawaha has been assigned to Guwahati.Cheekati Radha Krishna will be assigned to the new Kolkata court. .Technical Member Assignments:Reena Sinha Puri will join the New Delhi bench.Kavita Bhatnagar will serve at the Jaipur bench.Cmde Siddharth Mishra and Rekha Kantilal Shah will be assigned to Kolkata, with Rekha Kantilal Shah assigned to the new Kolkata court.Shishir Agarwal will serve at the Chandigarh bench.Sanjeev Kumar Sharma has been assigned to Ahmedabad.Radhakrishna Sreepada will move to Bengaluru.Ravindra Chaturvedi will serve at the New Delhi bench.Man Mohan Gupta will be assigned to the new Mumbai court.Banwari Lal Meena will take up his duties at the Cuttack bench.Yogendra Kumar Singh has been assigned to Guwahati.The Centre has directed all the members to join their respective benches at the earliest.The appointees will serve a tenure of five years beginning from the date they assume the charge or until they attain the age of sixty-five years..[Read Notification]
