CBI arrests Deputy Registrar of NCLT Mumbai in bribery case

According to a CBI press release, Deputy Registrar Charan Pratap Singh was arrested following a complaint by a hotel owner alleging a bribe demand to influence a pending case.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on May 29 arrested the Deputy Registrar of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT)'s Mumbai Bench and another accused in connection with a bribery case involving demand and acceptance of ₹3 lakh from a litigant on the promise of a favourable order in a case.
