Bombay High Court refuses to entertain PIL to declare Kunal Kamra video as protected under free speech

The plea filed by a law student also sought a direction to stop the authorities from taking criminal action against people sharing or re-tweeting video of Kunal Kamra’s standup.

The Bombay High Court on Wednesday disposed of a public interest litigation (PIL) petition seeking direction to stop the authorities from taking criminal action against people sharing or re-tweeting video of Kunal Kamra’s standup allegedly mocking Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
