Bombay High Court questions 27-year delay in challenging reservation for Special Backward Classes
The petition filed in 2021 challenges a State government decision from 1994 that created the SBC category and provided for 2 percent reservation for them in government jobs.
The Bombay High Court on Wednesday sought explanation from an NGO for a delay of 27 years in challenging a 1994 Government Resolution (GR) that granted 2 percent reservation for Special Backward Classes (SBCs) in Maharashtra public services.
