Bihar’s first Additional Solicitor General (ASG), Senior Advocate SD Sanjay has been re-appointed for a second term as the top law officer of the State..Following the recommendation of the Union Ministry of Law and Justice, the government’s Appointment Committee, headed by the Prime Minister, has re-appointed ASG Sanjay for a second term..He completed his first term on April 7 this year. His second term will run from April 8, 2018 to June 30, 2020. A notification to this effect has been published in the Official Gazette..ASG Sanjay is the first incumbent to have been appointed to the post. The Centre created the ASG’s post on December 10, 2014, after amending the Law Officers Service Condition Rules, 1987.
