The Central government on Monday notified the appointment of Advocate Rohit Kapoor as an additional judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.The appointment was announced via a post on the official page of Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal on X. .Kapoor's name was first recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium in January 2024. .The Punjab and Haryana High Court is currently functioning with a strength of 51 judges as against its sanctioned strength of 85 judges.
