Advaita Legal Founder Partner Sujit Ghosh has decided to leave the firm for independent counsel practice, according to sources..The other partners at Advaita include Sudipta Bhattacharjee, Shailendra Singh, and Atul Dua..Sujit Ghosh had left BMR Legal in September 2013 to set up ‘Advaita Legal’ along with former KPMG Partner Sunil Moti Lala. Later, in 2015 Moti Lala had left the firm to set up his tax practice..Sujit started his practice with Arthur Andersen and then joined Ernst & Young in 2002, prior to being one of the 12 founding members of BMR, in 2004. He is a graduate of National Law School of India University, Bangalore..Recently, Atul Dua, founder of Seth Dua & Associates (SDA), had joined Advaita Legal as an equity partner along with his entire team of lawyers, at their Delhi office. .Principal Satyajit Gupta too has left the firm left after 3 years and 3 months with the firm, leading its Corporate/ M&A practice (till Atul Dua and team joined in October 2017)..Gupta had joined Advaita from Khaitan & Co. He graduated from National Law School of India Unversity, Bangalore in 2003 and started his career at Pricewaterhouse Coopers. Since then, he has worked at Amarchand Mangaldas, and Herbert Smith before returning to India to join AZB & Partners in 2008..In 2014, Gupta left AZB to join Khaitan & Co as Principal Associate.
