Job Description and Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Litigation Lawyer to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling complex commercial disputes, both in litigation and arbitration.

This role requires excellent analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills, along with the ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Legal Advisory and Case Management: Oversee and manage a portfolio of complex litigation cases, ensuring that client matters are handled efficiently and effectively with applicable laws and regulations.

• Client Representation: Represent clients in various litigation matters, including civil, general and administrative cases, both at trial and appellate levels. Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients and identify opportunities for business development and client retention.

• Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth legal research, analyze case laws, statutes, and regulations to formulate sound legal strategies for clients.

• Client Counseling: Advice and counsel clients on legal matters, providing clear and practical advice while maintaining a strong client relationship.

• Business Development: Actively contribute to the firm's business development efforts by attracting and retaining clients, participating in marketing initiatives, and expanding the firm's litigation practice.

• Mentorship and Training: Provide mentorship and training to junior associates, fostering their professional development and growth within the firm.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all applicable ethical and professional standards and guidelines

Essential Criteria

• Qualified LLB/ LLM from a recognised university with 6-7 years of extensive experience in the relevant practice area.

• In-depth knowledge of practise procedures for High Court, NCLT, DRT, DRAT, NGT and other Tribunals.  

• Drive for technical superiority by staying abreast of developments in the law and be the go-to subject matter expert.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a high degree of attention to detail.

• Strong leadership skills.

• Ability to manage a team and deliver as per requirements of clients.
