Law firm AQUILAW is looking to hire Associate in Mumbai.

Position: Associate (Junior / Mid-level litigation)

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB or equivalent) and admission to the Bar Council.

Location: Mumbai

Role Description

• This is a full-time Associate role located on-site in Mumbai.

• The Associate will be responsible for conducting legal research, independently handling litigation and arbitration matters, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and providing legal advice across various practice areas.

• The role includes liaising with clients, preparing case briefs, and representing the firm in legal proceedings.

• Additionally, the Associate will collaborate with other team members to develop strategies for client cases and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations. 

• The applicant should be Mumbai-based, that is, born, brought-up, and educated in Mumbai.

Requirements

• Experience in legal research, drafting, and reviewing legal documents.

• Experience in Insolvency and Real Property laws shall be a plus point.

• Strong understanding of civil procedures, High Court and City Court Rules, commercial laws, dispute resolution, and basic knowledge of criminal litigation.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proven track record of handling client communication and case management.

Reporting 

The candidate shall be reporting either to a Senior Associate or a Principal Associate, or on certain matters to the Partner, Neerav Merchant.

Remuneration: As per industry standards.
