SAM advises PFC on ₹2,052 crore funding for renewable projects in Rajasthan, Gujarat

Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co advised Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC) on sanctioning a ₹2,502 crore term loan facility to Juniper Green Beta Private Limited.

The SAM transaction team was led by Anurag Dwivedi (Partner), with assistance from Prince Singh (Principal Associate) and Amitanshu Saxena (Associate).

The funds will be used for setting-up and implementing a solar wind hybrid renewable energy project comprising of 280 MW/392 MWp solar capacity and 132 MW wind capacity, in Jodhpur District of Rajasthan and Devbhumi Dwarka District, Gujarat.

PFC is a government-owned non-banking financial company (NBFC) under the administrative control of the Ministry of Power, Government of India. Incorporated in 1986, PFC primarily provides financial assistance to the power sector, including generation, transmission, distribution, and renewable energy projects. It plays a key role in funding infrastructure development by offering a range of financial products such as project term loans, lease financing, and consultancy services
