Saga Legal advises Kouzina on their strategic investment in MOPP Foods

Saga Legal represented Kouzina Food Tech Pvt Ltd in their recent strategic investment in Shark Tank famed, Delhi NCR-based cloud kitchen startup MOPP Foods.

The transaction was led by Saga Legal Bangalore Partner Neeraj Vyas.

This strategic investment merges Kouzina’s technological prowess and nationwide network with MOPP Foods’ robust portfolio of popular brands, including Mealy, Mad Over Parathas & Pakodas, Yum Biryani Bowls, Khichdi In A Bowl, and Sassy Indian.

Through this partnership, MOPP’s brands will expand to over 200+ kitchens across India, operated by Kouzina and its partners. The deal comes amid exponential growth in India’s food delivery, QSR, and cloud kitchen markets, fueled by shifting consumer preferences and rising online ordering. This win-win partnership is projected to drive significant revenue growth for Kouzina and enable MOPP’s nationwide expansion.

Kouzina Food Tech is a Bengaluru-based cloud kitchen platform that operates a multi-brand virtual restaurant model across India. Founded in 2013, Kouzina has scaled rapidly and now manages over 200 kitchens in more than 90 cities. The company is known for brands like WarmOven, Indiana Burgers, and KaatiZone.

MOPP Foods, short for “Mad Over Parathas & Pakodas,” is a Delhi NCR-based cloud kitchen startup founded in 2019. The company gained national attention after its successful pitch on Shark Tank India Season 2, where it showcased its portfolio of uniquely positioned Indian comfort food brands, including Mealy, Yum Biryani Bowls, and Khichdi In A Bowl. Focused on delivering high-quality, hygienic, and flavorful Indian meals, MOPP Foods has steadily grown its footprint in the NCR region.
