Pioneer Legal advises Badshah on stake acquisition in Droom

Pioneer Legal has advised Aditya Prateek Singh a.k.a. Badshah on the acquisition of stake in Droom Technologies Private Limited by acquiring shares from its Singapore-based holding company, Droom Pte. Ltd.

The Firm advised and assisted Badshah on matters pertaining to structuring of the Transaction, negotiation and finalization of the definitive agreements and the closing of the Transaction.

The transaction team consisted of Shoubhik Dasgupta (Partner), Pavana Padmakumar (Principal Associate) and Rugwed Dhage (Associate).

Droom is India's largest AI-driven online automobile marketplace, founded in 2014 by serial entrepreneur Sandeep Aggarwal. Headquartered in Gurugram, Droom offers a comprehensive digital platform for buying and selling new and used vehicles, including cars, bikes, scooters, and even planes.

Its proprietary tools—such as Orange Book Value (OBV) for pricing, ECO for vehicle inspection, and History for ownership records—provide users with a seamless and trustworthy experience.

Beyond transactions, Droom offers ancillary services like loans, insurance, and warranties, making it a one-stop solution for automobile needs. As of 2021, the company achieved a valuation of $1.2 billion and is planning an IPO to further its growth and innovation in the automotive e-commerce sector.
