As part of the exclusive strategic collaboration between 360 ONE WAM (formerly IIFL Wealth & Asset Management) and UBS, the Swiss banking giant is acquiring warrants that will convert into a 4.95% equity stake in 360 ONE. This move underscores UBS's commitment to India's rapidly expanding high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) market
In addition to this equity investment, 360 ONE will acquire UBS's onshore wealth management business in India for approximately ₹3.07 billion (around $36 million). This acquisition includes UBS's local stockbroking, distribution, portfolio management services, and residual loan portfolio .
The partnership is expected to go live in the coming months, subject to necessary regulatory approvals. There is no equity investment or merger involved; rather, it is structured purely as a strategic business collaboration. The move comes against the backdrop of a rapidly growing number of Indian millionaires and rising demand for seamless, global wealth management services.
