Burgeon Law assists Swach Environment on one-time settlement with lenders

Burgeon Law has advised Swach Environment Private Limited in completing a one-time settlement with its lenders, paving the way for fresh investment into the company.

This transaction marks the final phase of the OTS, following a prior settlement, and involved group restructuring to streamline the company’s financial and operational structure.

The Firm provided comprehensive legal advice and assisted Swach Environment throughout the transaction process.

The transaction team consisted of Ketan Mukhija (Senior Partner), Saurabh Arora (Principal Associate) and Shorya Singhal (Associate).

The Firm had previously advised Swach Environment on its exit from Nangloi Water Services.

The settlement facilitates the infusion of new capital from an investor, ensuring a stronger financial position for Swach Environment.

Swach Environment Private Limited, established in 2011 and headquartered in Kolkata, India, is a comprehensive environmental infrastructure and services company. The company specialises in providing integrated solutions for water treatment, wastewater management, sewage treatment, and solid waste management.

Their projects encompass the development and operation of water utilities, catering to industrial, commercial, municipal, and domestic sectors.
