Delhi High Court, lower courts to continue hybrid hearings till October 30

Cases instituted in 2019 will also be taken up by Delhi High Court from October 4, 2021 onwards

The existing mechanism of hybrid hearings in the Delhi High Court and the Delhi District Courts will continue for another month, according to a public notice issued on Thursday.

In continuation with its previous office orders, the full-bench of the Delhi High Court decided to continue taking up matters with the current way of both virtual and physical till October 30, 2021.

Full court has been pleased to order that the existing mechanism of hearing of matters in this court shall continue till 30.10.2021. Further, the cases instituted in the year 2019 shall also be taken up by this Court w.e.f 4.10.2021,” reads the officer order issued by Delhi High Court Registrar General Manoj Jain.

All other pending matters listed before the High Court from October 4, 2021 to October 30, 2021, have been adjourned en bloc.

The courts of the Registrar and Joint Registrar (Judicial) of this court shall continue to take up all the matters as per their respective causelists. Roster shall be prepared for the said courts in such a manner that w.e.f 4.10.2021, on any given day, around 3/4th of their total strength hold the court physically while others hold the court through virtual mode,” the order further stated.
