Central government notifies appointment of Pranay Verma as judge of Madhya Pradesh High Court [Read Notification]

The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended his name for elevation to the Bench on March 2, 2021.

The Central government on Thursday notified the appointment of advocate Pranay Verma as judge of Madhya Pradesh High Court.

A notification to that effect was issued by Additional Secretary to Government of India, Rajinder Kashyap.

"In exercise of the power conferred by clause (1) of Article 217 of the Constitution of India, the President is pleased to appoint Shri Pranay Verma to be a Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office," the notification said.

Verma's name was recommended for elevation to the Bench by the Supreme Court Collegium on March 2, 2021.
