Supreme Court Collegium recommends appointment of judges for Allahabad, Gujarat, Kerala HCs

Three Collegium Statements to this effect were issued on August 14.

The Supreme Court Collegium has proposed the appointment of four judges each for the High Courts of Allahabad and Kerala and three judges for the Gujarat High Court.

Three Collegium Statements to this effect were issued on August 14.

For the Allahabad High Court, the Collegium has proposed the elevation of the following judicial officers as High Court judges:

  • Sanjay Kumar Pachori

  • Subhash Chandra Sharma

  • Subhash Chand

  • Saroj Yadav

On the other hand, three advocates have been recommended for elevation as Judges of the Gujarat High Court, i.e.,

  • Vaibhavi Devang Nanavati

  • Nirzarkumar Sushilkumar Desai

  • Nikhil Shreedharan Kariel

As for the Kerala High Court, the Collegium has proposed the elevation of two lawyers and two judicial officers as High Court judges, i.e.:

  • Murali Purushothaman (Advocate)

  • Ziyad Rahman AA (Advocate)

  • Karunakaran Babu (Judicial Officer)

  • (Dr.) Kauser Edappagath (Judicial Officer)
