Collegium recommends appointment of two advocates as Himachal Pradesh High Court judges

The High Court is currently functioning with 11 judges against its approved strength of 17.

The Supreme Court Collegium has recommended the appointment of two advocates as the judges of Himachal Pradesh High Court.

The decision was taken at a meeting of the Collegium held on Monday (September 15), a statement released by the top court said.

The lawyers recommended for judgeship are:

1. Jiya Lal Bhardwaj;

2. Romesh Verma.

The High Court is currently functioning with 11 judges against its approved strength of 17.
