The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Society for Indian Law Firms (SILF) are hosting a conference on climate change that will take place on June 5 in Delhi.
The conference is being organised in collaboration with the Sudhir Mishra Centre for ESG, Environment Law and Climate Change and Sustainability Law Press (SMCEC) and the Sustainability Law Press (SLP).
The theme of the conference is “Climate Emergency, Economic Challenges, and Judicial Trends in 2025."
The conference will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025, from 4 PM to 7 PM at The Lalit Hotel, Connaught Place, New Delhi.
The conference brings together a distinguished panel of senior judges, legal experts, economists, and policy leaders to discuss the critical intersections of climate change, judicial responsibility, and economic challenges in today’s world.
The inaugural session will be presided over by retired Supreme Court judge, Justice AS Oka, sitting Supreme Court judge, Justice Sanjay Karol and Delhi High Court judge, Justice Jasmeet Singh.
Justice Oka, who retired recently from judicial service, will be awarded the SILF Sustainability Award 2025 for his exemplary contributions in the field of development of environmental law as a Judge of the Supreme Court.
