Centre clears appointment of Justice V Ramasubramanian as Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court

The Central government has cleared the appointment of Justice V Ramasubramanian as Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court.

Supreme Court Collegium had recommended the appointment of Justice V Ramasubramanian as Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court on May 10.

This was in view of the proposed elevation of incumbent Chief Justice Surya Kant to the Supreme Court.

Justice Surya Kant was subsequently elevated to Supreme Court on May 24.

Justice V Ramasubramanian is the senior-most Judge from Madras High Court and at present is functioning, on transfer, in Telangana High Court.
