Accused shot at by juvenile assailants at Rohini court premises

A person has been reportedly shot dead at the Rohini district court premises at around 11:30 am today. The victim, an accused who was being brought from Court No. 213, was shot at by a juvenile assailant who immediately surrendered to the authorities.

According to sources, the victim was shot in the neck when he was on the ramp at the exit of the court. He stumbled around for around ten minutes before collapsing, and succumbed to his injuries before help could arrive on time. Lawyer Prashant Mendiratta confirmed the same to Bar & Bench.

It was also observed by lawyers that the crime scene was poorly manned. A number of wooden ladders were seen strewn around the area where the victim collapsed.
