Rishabh Gandhi and Advocates is looking to hire Senior Associate (Dispute Resolution and Arbitration) in Pune.

PQE: Minimum 7 years of post-enrolment experience in litigation and/or arbitration
Location: Pune
Qualification: LL.B. or equivalent integrated law degree (5-year or 3-year program); must be enrolled as an advocate with the Bar Council of India or a State Bar Council.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and vet plaints, written statements, interim applications, replies, statements of claim, statements of defense, counterclaims, and rejoinders for litigation and arbitration proceedings.
- Prepare and review settlement agreements, consent terms, legal notices, demand notices, and replies to ensure compliance with legal standards and client objectives.
- Conduct in-depth legal research on procedural and substantive law to support case strategies, including analysis of statutes, case law, and regulatory frameworks.
- Appear independently before Trial Courts, the Bombay High Court, the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), arbitral tribunals, and other quasi-judicial authorities to argue motions, present evidence, and manage hearings.
- Develop and execute case strategies in consultation with clients, including identifying key legal issues, assessing risks, and recommending actionable solutions.
- Lead client meetings to discuss case progress, provide legal opinions, and advise on litigation and arbitration strategies across sectors such as commercial disputes, corporate litigation, and insolvency.
- Supervise and mentor Associates, Junior Associates, Trainees, and Paralegals, including reviewing their work, providing feedback, and ensuring timely task delivery.
- Manage end-to-end litigation and arbitration matters — from case inception (e.g., filing petitions or claims) to resolution (e.g., judgments, awards, or settlements) — including coordination with external counsel where applicable.
- Maintain accurate case records, track deadlines, and ensure compliance with court and tribunal procedures, including e-filing and documentation requirements.
- Contribute to process improvements by standardizing drafting templates, streamlining case management workflows, and implementing best practices for efficiency.
- Travel as required for court appearances, client meetings, or arbitral proceedings within and outside Pune, and work flexible hours to meet case deadlines.
Candidate Profile:
- Comprehensive knowledge of procedural laws (e.g., Code of Civil Procedure, Arbitration and Conciliation Act, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code) and substantive laws (e.g., contract law, company law, commercial laws).
- Proven expertise in handling complex legal issues across sectors such as commercial disputes, corporate litigation, insolvency, real estate, or intellectual property.
- Exceptional analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret intricate legal documents, identify precedents, and devise innovative legal arguments.
- Strong written communication skills, demonstrated through precise and persuasive drafting of legal documents, opinions, and correspondence.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate arguments clearly in court, negotiate effectively with opposing counsel, and engage professionally with clients and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including guiding junior team members, delegating tasks, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- High project management skills, with a track record of managing multiple cases simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and delivering results under pressure.
- Proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with a willingness to take initiative, propose process improvements, and address challenges creatively.
- Exceptional proficiency in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for drafting, data analysis, and presentations.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Marathi or Hindi is highly desirable for client interactions and regional court proceedings.
- Commitment to professional growth, evidenced by participation in continuing legal education, bar association activities, or relevant certifications.

Remuneration
₹5,40,000 to ₹9,00,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and skillset.
