The startup plans to use the funds to scale its R&D, expand manufacturing infrastructure, and deepen deployments within the Indian defence ecosystem. Its portfolio includes Atri, India’s first nano surveillance drone, and proprietary swarm drone systems. “This funding marks a pivotal step in our journey to develop indigenous, cutting-edge defence drone technology of global standards,” said CEO Tanmay Bunkar. Dharana Capital’s Vamsi Duvvuri noted that India's push for defence indigenisation presents a rare opportunity to build globally competitive deeptech solutions from within the country.
Vayudh operates in the drone manufacturing & defence technology sectors. Vayudh has developed expertise in swarm drone technology, with over 300,000 autonomous flying hours in defence and other commercial applications like drone shows and industrial surveying.
The investment will be directed towards strengthening the company’s research and development capabilities, enhancing manufacturing infrastructure, and accelerating deployments in collaboration with India’s defence forces.
