K Law acts on Ocean 14 Capital acquiring controlling stake in Syaqua Group

The deal is valued at US$12 million (approximately ₹954 million)

Ocean 14 Capital Fund, a private equity impact investment fund focused on the UN Sustainable Development Goal 14, acquired a controlling stake from Golden Springs Group in Syaqua Group Pte Ltd for US$12 million.

K Law, advised Ocean 14 on the deal and acted on the Indian leg of the acquisition.

CMS UK (CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP) and CMS Holborn Asia acted for Ocean 14 on the overseas aspects of the transaction

The transaction team at K Law consisted of Alok Sonker (Partner), Karishma Jumani (Counsel) and Associates Prakruti J Shah and Aakshay Amesur

Syaqua Group Pte Ltd is one of the world’s largest providers of shrimp genetics and early nutrition. The funds will be used to scale the company, partly via entering new markets.
